Medical Coding is the process of converting a patients' diagnosis and healthcare treatment received and other information into alphanumeric codes. Medical Coding involves analyzing clinical documentation and linking each service, medication and procedure with its designated code. Those codes, recognised within a standardized coding system, synthesis what providers did during a patient visit.
